Introducing new Grá Irish Honeycrunch Apples!

Remember when Irish apples took pride of place on the retail shelf? Some will. Some won’t. Over the years, Irish apple sales have fallen behind those of imported alternatives. Today only about 1 in 25 apples sold here are home grown. There are some legitimate reasons for this. Consumer tastes change and growing apples in Ireland isn’t for the faint hearted. Conditions here throw up some challenges. It’s very definitely a labour of love for some of Ireland’s most passionate and accomplished growers! But it doesn’t need to be like this. 2024 might just be the start of something special. Because this year we’re introducing Grá Honeycrunch Irish Apples. It’s a new variety to Ireland, it’s well suited to Irish conditions and the eating quality is comparable to anything imported apples can offer. We think it’s a game changer. We hope you’ll agree. Let’s bring back the Irish apple together.
